About me
Hello, I’m Ciara.
I’m a writer, curious thinker, creative explorer and someone who’s always been fascinated by how the world works.
I’ve spent more than a decade working across climate, science, innovation and industry — from international engineering and startups to science diplomacy, G7 climate and energy negotiations, and the UK’s £20bn carbon capture programme.
Over the years, I’ve written and delivered briefings for ambassadors, government ministers and FTSE CEOs, shaped submissions on complex policy decisions, and scripted, co-produced and narrated a video for a G7 climate conference.
It’s taught me a thing or two about the importance of knowing your audience.
A minister preparing for an international negotiation doesn’t need a 40-page essay. They need to know what matters, where the sensitivities lie and what they can actually do with the information.
The same principle applies whether you’re writing a policy paper, developing an engagement campaign or telling the story of an emerging technology to potential investors.
What’s the point? Who needs to hear it? And what’s going to make it land?
I enjoy getting stuck into the messy middle of a project — asking questions, finding the thread, sharpening the narrative and shaping the final piece until everything clicks.
I’m particularly drawn to ideas that challenge the status quo. Breakthroughs in science and technology. New approaches to climate and environmental challenges. Business models that rethink how we create value, use resources and support communities.
The kind of work that asks not just what’s possible?, but what could we do differently?
Through Ciara O’Sullivan Creative, I’m bringing together my professional experience, editorial instincts and creative curiosity to help people and organisations communicate ideas worth paying attention to.
Whether that’s sharpening a white paper, developing thought leadership, making a complex technology accessible or finding a fresh approach to stakeholder engagement, I’m interested in work with substance, imagination and the potential to make a difference.
Working on something interesting? Let’s talk.
